Satin is the New Velvet | Spring Style
Velvet had its run this past fall and winter as the trending fabric. But now it’s spring and, once Chicago starts acting like it, I’m breaking out satin as my signature spring style fabric. These flats by Sam Edelman are easily the best shoe investment I’ve made in a while. They’re a great color [and come in tons more!], they lace up super comfortably, and they make such a statement with their cut. Basically, they’re the most essential shoes for spring.
Spring in Chicago
I’ve been wearing these whenever I can, though having a difficult time. See, Chicago spring tends to be… well, very wet. And I know that in just a few weeks, it’s going to warm right up, flowers are going to bloom everywhere, and it’s going to be so magnificent. However, it’s difficult to focus on that when it’s been raining for the last two weeks straight. Alas, nothing to be done but wait it out.
And thus, I’m stocking up my closet with spring style staples and have some seriously amazing pieces to bring you guys. So think of this as more of a teaser than anything. These shoes are definitely going to keep making an appearance on here as warm weather arrives and things dry out a bit. I can’t wait!
One of my favorite things about these shoes is where they fall in the spectrum of fashion. Being by Sam Edelman, they carry a great name with them. But the price tag is totally reasonable and these become quite a style steal at only $90. And I know, that’s not a small chunk of change. Trust me. But these shoes are of great quality and I can promise, they’re going to get tons of use living in your closet.
