Summer Playlist, Last Dance | Musical Mondays
Last Dance, tonight
Did you all know that I used to be a dancer? Like, age 8 through 23. Studied it in college, in London, and here in Chicago. Ballet is in my veins. So when I went to shoot this look, and I started goofing off in the grass, Ari told me to just play around while she snapped photos. I was going to talk about the end of summer, enjoying the last of the warmth before we get to break out sweaters and scarves, but then I figured it would be fun to pair some dance-themed photos with some of my favorite jams of the summer!
This summer playlist is stacked. Filled with songs that support diverse and LGBT artists, make me get up and dance, or make me crank the volume and roll down the windows. Or just songs that have become major anthems over the past few months. I’m listening to it over and over again and I hope you will, too!
My favorite way to celebrate Chicago’s best season is on our beautiful lakeshore! We’re lucky enough to be right on the shores of Lake Michigan, have tons of beaches, and all of the lifestyle that goes with that. From harbors and beach bars to gorgeous nature reserves, the lakeshore is absolutely stunning and one of the greatest places to visit. While you can’t actually consume that bottle of rosé on the beach, it sure adds the perfect mood to an evening on the beach.
P.S. These loafers are the actual best and I’m so excited to rock them come fall. They’re linked in the widget below!
